Bobergsskolan is a modern municipal primary school located in Norra Djurgårdsstaden on Östermalm in Stockholm. The school was named "School Building of the Year" in 2020 and boasts fantastic facilities. Bobergsskolan is a grades F-9 school (preschool class to grade 9) with approximately 850 students. We need colleagues who, together with us, will develop our school into a place where good academic results, study environment, safety, and joy are in focus!

Job Description and Qualifications

The position of Student Assistant at Bobergsskolan involves working as an assistant in the preschool class, primarily focused on one student but also providing targeted support to other students in need of special assistance when necessary. You will follow the student throughout the entire school day (school and after-school care).

The successful candidate should have experience working as a student assistant and possess good knowledge of cognitive and intellectual disabilities. You should have knowledge about students with severe visual impairments and be well-versed in TAKK (Augmentative and Alternative Communication using signs).

It is important to be calm and stress-resistant, with the ability to meet students' various needs and situations that may arise during a school day. You are creative and can adapt your approach, pedagogical methods, and techniques based on individual students' needs. Building good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues is vital to your work.

Your duties may change over time depending on the needs of individual students. We are looking for someone who, together with us, works to ensure all students develop throughout the school day. You must have very good Swedish speaking, reading, and writing skills, as well as the ability to use digital tools without difficulty. It is an advantage if you have worked with students with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) included in regular teaching in collaboration with teaching teachers and after-school educators/teachers.

The position may be filled by a surplus student assistant.
