Ljungbacken School is a perfectly sized small school located in southeast Lidingö. We are a school where grades F-3 (Preschool Class to Grade 3) are gathered as one unit, where school and after-school care collaborate to provide students with the best possible opportunities for safety and knowledge development. The school has approximately 160 students and is situated in a beautiful natural area, with a schoolyard that has everything to wish for. We have good access to facilities and qualified teachers in all subjects for the grade level, including PE, art, and music. The proximity to nature enriches our learning environment, and thanks to the Lidingöbanan train, we can easily travel to other exciting places.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in our primary school section, you are a mentor and responsible for teaching in one of our grade levels. You collaborate with after-school staff and teaching colleagues to ensure that students thrive, feel safe, and develop as far as possible towards the goals in our steering documents. Accessibility, relationships, differentiated instruction, and a positive and professional attitude are important success factors in working with our students. Good collaboration with guardians is a given.

Qualifications

We assume that you, as an applicant, are educated, licensed, and have experience teaching in grades F-3. You need to have education in teaching mathematics, Swedish, Social Studies (SO), and Natural Sciences (NO) for grades F-3. Good collaboration with students, colleagues, and guardians is a given, and we place high demands on engagement, teamwork skills, and responsibility. Furthermore, you are solution-oriented and can quickly find solutions to emerging problems.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.

The municipality applies individual salary setting. The position is a temporary substitute position (holiday cover) between August 12, 2026, and January 7, 2027.
