The school is a grades F-6 school with approximately 340 students, two classes in each grade. The school is located in beautiful surrounding environments and has a schoolyard that invites to varied outdoor play and movement. The classrooms are modern and newly renovated, offering an stimulating work environment. We have a library that has been modernized in recent years and has become more inviting. The school is easily accessible via good public transport connections, including commuter trains and the subway.

Magelungsskolan has a high proportion of certified and qualified teachers. About fifty employees work at the school, all with the common goal that all students should feel well, be secure, and develop as much as possible academically as well as socially.

Your Role

We are looking for a teacher in the subject of crafts (specifically textile crafts) for grades 3–6, and visual arts for grades 5-6, at 80% employment. You will guide young people to creative creation with commitment. The teaching takes place in half-classes in a well-equipped craft room.

Daily tasks include planning, implementing, following up, and ensuring quality learning for students based on our governing documents. As a pedagogue at Magelungsskolan, you consciously work with all students' needs as a central starting point in planning and executing teaching. There is a certified crafts teacher specializing in wood and metal crafts at the school. Your tasks include organizing good order, material care, and student safety in the craft room, as well as responsible for relevant purchases via a subject budget.

You are part of a well-functioning TEACH-team consisting of teacher colleagues who have regular meetings for development and organizational issues. Collegial work and collaboration are seen as a matter of course. As a colleague at Magelungsskolan, you are engaged and find it easy to collaborate.

Your Competence and Experience

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach textile crafts for grades 3-6 and visual arts for grades 4-6.

Other

You have experience in planning, implementing, and following up on teaching and students' results to provide formative assessment and based on governing documents such as Lgr 22. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs, and you structure and adapt your teaching so that a safe and adequate learning environment is created. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.

You have strategies for clear leadership in the classroom and the ability to create a safe, varied learning environment characterized by high quality, study peace, and joy in learning. You have a good understanding of people's different conditions for acquiring knowledge and are familiar with working with extra adaptations.

You are secure, stable, have self-insight, and are a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

You have good Swedish skills in speech and writing and good digital competence.

You have a good ability to organize your work.

You have an interest in the subject and continuously develop your knowledge.

As a pedagogue at Magelungsskolan, you consciously work with all students' needs as a central starting point in planning and executing teaching.
