Do you want to secure the electricity grid of the future?
Gomero is a growth company that digitalizes the maintenance of transformer stations for leading electricity grid companies in both the Nordic region and globally. Our system, SIPP, collects real-time data from critical infrastructure and helps energy companies move from scheduled checks to smart, predictive maintenance.
We are now looking for a Field Service Technician who takes ownership of our installations and ensures that the technology works perfectly on-site in the field.
The Role
As a service technician with us, your primary work area is Sweden, based out of Gothenburg. You will receive a clear plan of service tasks to perform, but once out in the field, you are the one driving the job to completion.
The work is independent and practical. You move through exciting environments where you install hardware, commission our systems, and verify that the software is functioning correctly before packing up for the next assignment. You are Gomero's face to the outside world and solve the technical challenges that arise along the way.
The role involves significant travel and overnight stays. It suits you if you thrive in independent work and are comfortable planning your own time without always having colleagues nearby.
- Installation, commissioning, and quality assurance of SIPP hardware and software in the field.
- Troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and technical support on-site at the customer's location.
- Digital documentation and reporting after completing assignments.
- Technical handover and dialogue with the customer's on-site technicians.
Qualifications
You are a handy problem solver who is motivated by getting things to work. You are confident in your technical skills, careful with safety, and thrive in a role where you are expected to take the initiative.
Education
Preferably a technical basic education or equivalent practical experience (e.g., within electricity, low voltage, automotive electronics, automation, or mechanics).
Attributes and Competencies
Structured (you understand the importance of documentation) and service-oriented in interactions with customers.
Requirements: Valid driver's license (Category B) and good proficiency in Swedish and English.
Meritorious, but not required:
- Experience working in sensitive or protected environments, such as within the industry or the electricity grid sector (switchgear/transformer stations).
- Previous experience as a field technician, alarm technician, service technician, or distribution electrician.
- Familiarity with simple networks, routers, software configuration, or IoT systems.
What We Offer
We offer a responsible and independent role in a company with strong growth and a clear direction. With us, you are a key player in delivering and ensuring the quality of the technology that several of the leading electricity grid companies in the Nordics and Europe rely on.
- Market-competitive terms: Competitive salary and employment conditions.
- Occupational pension, comprehensive insurance coverage, and a generous wellness allowance.
- Access to modern, purpose-built equipment and a service vehicle adapted for the assignments.
- Good opportunities for competence development and expanded responsibilities in line with the company's international growth.
Interviews will begin in mid-August, so do not wait to submit your application.
