At the Multilingualism Unit, we work with native language instruction and study guidance for all schools in the municipality. Currently, we are a team of about twenty-five teachers with knowledge of many different languages, delivering high-quality native language instruction and study guidance to our residents. Our unit has very close cooperation with both municipal and independent schools in Danderyd.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a native language teacher, you plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching according to the current curriculum. You work in a language-developing and inclusive manner, creating teaching that gives students the opportunity to grow in both languages and self-confidence.
You teach in groups of approximately 5-15 students, divided by school level:
- Lower secondary school, grades 1-3,
- Middle school, grades 4-6
- Upper secondary school, grades 7-9
All teaching takes place at a centrally located school in the municipality, in classrooms with the equipment you need.
Teaching takes place on Mondays from 15:00 to 18:00. The times are fixed from year to year, which provides good conditions for planning and structure in the work.
As a teacher, you are responsible for your groups and subjects, but you are also an important part of a larger team of native language teachers.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who:
- Are a qualified native language teacher in English
- Have very good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
- Have very good knowledge of the Swedish curriculum
- Have digital competence and experience in using various digital tools and systems
It is meritorious if you have worked as a native language teacher previously.

Furthermore, you need to be pedagogical, clear, and confident in your role. You have an easy time communicating and building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are also creative and solution-oriented, finding ways to adapt your teaching to the students' needs. It is also important that you are engaged, responsible, and team-oriented, with a desire to develop – both in your own practice and together with colleagues.
At the Multilingualism Unit, the student is at the center, and we work as a team, where cooperation, sharing of experiences, and a common focus on development are central.
The position is a permanent position, provided that you have a teaching license issued by the Swedish National Agency for Education. A probationary period of 6 months may be applied.
With reference to the Education Act, the person offered this position must present a valid extract from the criminal record register before an employment contract can be drawn up. An order for such can be made at www.polisen.se.
Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-20 according to agreement.
Working hours: Daytime. Mondays 11:00-18:15
