Enrolled Nurse for Pre- and Post-Operative Unit in Ljungby

Do you want to work in a vital operation where you meet patients during both preparation and recovery from surgery? Region Kronoberg is now looking for an engaged Enrolled Nurse for our pre- and post-operative unit in Ljungby.

Here, you will work in an stimulating and varied environment where patient safety and security are always in focus. You will become part of a competent and close-knit team working together in the pre- and post-operative flow.

The unit has 19 recovery beds, divided between day surgery recovery for both children and adults, as well as recovery for inpatients. The operation unit at the clinic performs emergency and planned surgical operations with highly specialized patient care within surgery, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, ENT, pediatrics, and dental care under anesthesia.

Your introduction is adapted to your previous experience and usually lasts 4–6 weeks, but can be extended if necessary. All to ensure you feel secure in your role.

Job Responsibilities

Here, your duties will include:

• Nursing care for patients before and after surgery
• Monitoring and observation of the patient's condition
• Preparation of patients for surgical procedures
• Collaboration with nurses, doctors, and other professionals
• Documentation according to current guidelines

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are:

• An Enrolled Nurse with a certificate of protected professional title
• Experience from post-operative care is required
• Vocational higher education (YH) or other relevant further education is meritorious
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

You are a secure and responsible person with a good attitude and a strong patient focus. You have good collaboration skills, are flexible, and can prioritize your work even at a high pace.
