A hospital in motion - with a focus on safe emergency care

We provide limited trauma care, but offer a broad spectrum of acute and planned surgical interventions. On the new surgical-orthopedic ward, we care for patients within gastrointestinal surgery, general surgery, urology, and orthopedic acute and planned care.

This gives you as an employee a unique opportunity to develop within several surgical areas and work closely with various specialist competencies.

On-call organization that provides security

We offer primary and back-on-call lines around the clock.

• The primary on-call is shared by orthopedic surgeons and surgeons and handles urology, surgery, and orthopedics.
• Urological back-on-call is handled by surgical back-on-call.
• Orthopedic back-on-call is available in the evenings when needed and at other times via the surgeon's back-on-call.

You work in a team where collaboration and support are a natural part of everyday life.

As a resident physician at the clinic, you will gain experience in both emergency, ward, and outpatient work, as well as participating in acute and planned surgical operations.

We hire all our new colleagues with the intention of building a good team, i.e., we also have supervisors attached to all resident physicians and specialty training doctors at the clinic so that supervision and planning for education take place. Since we are a small clinic, the team works closely together and there is good access to close supervision in both outpatient, ward, and operating room settings.

Acute operations and patient flows

No operations are performed at night at Ljungby Hospital. In case of acute surgical needs, you are responsible for initial stabilization and assessment before any possible transfer to Växjö. We have a stabilization site at night and are actively working to establish intermediate places to further strengthen our emergency care.

A growing activity - future hospital care

In week 34, we open an emergency care ward, an important part of Region Kronoberg's investment in future hospital care. You will work in an environment where development is in focus, together with anesthesiologists and MIG teams who are on site around the clock.

Qualifications

We are looking for two acting resident physicians with great commitment who want to grow and develop with us. The possibilities for extension and specialty training (ST) are good.

We are looking for you who have a license as a physician issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare. Previous experience of clinical work in a surgical unit as well as completed ATLS training is meritorious. Primary on-call is included in the position. All resident physicians get a personal supervisor and have the opportunity to participate in courses and training at the ST level.

You have a good attitude and always work with the patient in focus. Ability to work humbly in a team is important. You have good communication skills and good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. We would like you as a person to be curious and open to new ways of working.
