RESPONSIBILITIES

A hospital in motion - focused on secure emergency care

We provide limited trauma care but offer a broad spectrum of acute and planned surgical interventions. On the Surgical-Orthopedic Ward, we care for patients within gastrointestinal surgery, general surgery, urology, and acute and planned orthopedic care.

Ljungby Hospital is the center for transurethral surgery in Kronoberg, a workplace where you as a urologist or surgeon with urological competence will work close to a strong and well-functioning team. Here you will encounter a urological activity with high accessibility, a broad patient flow, and good patient reviews, where both acute and planned urological procedures are performed with quality and care. As part of the Surgery Section, you will work in an environment that combines specialized urology, modern surgery, and an engaged multiprofessional team, becoming an important part of the region's investment in future urological care.

Duty Organization Providing Security

We offer primary and backup duty lines 24/7. The primary duty is shared by orthopedic surgeons and surgeons and handles urology, surgery, and orthopedics. Urological backup duty is handled by surgical backup duty. Orthopedic backup duty is available in the evenings when needed and at other times via the surgeon's backup duty. You will work in a team where collaboration and support are a natural part of everyday life.

Acute Operations and Patient Flows

No surgeries are performed at night at Ljungby Hospital. In case of acute surgical needs, you are responsible for initial stabilization and assessment before any potential transfer to Växjö. We have a stabilization station at night and are actively working to establish intermediate stations to further strengthen our emergency care.

A Growing Operation – Future Hospital Care

In week 34, we will open an acute care ward, an important part of Region Kronoberg's investment in future hospital care. You will work in an environment where development is in focus, together with anesthesiologists and MIG teams who are on-site 24/7.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a Specialist Physician in Urology at 50%. Primary duty is included in the position.
