The Forensic Regional Clinic is a specialist unit within forensic psychiatry that cares for both women and men, where the majority of our patients are committed to care by the court. We also receive patients from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service who are in need of psychiatric nursing and treatment. We have all of Sweden as our catchment area. The clinic is divided into different blocks with departments that have different focuses, which provides good opportunities to work within the area that you find particularly interesting.
3 Positions
Job Description
The 12-week trainee program offers you, as a nurse, a unique opportunity to gain broad knowledge and practical experience in working with patients with mental disabilities in various forms of care. Do you find it interesting to gain more insight into psychiatric care work? Then this trainee program is for you!
We offer you:
- Placement within inpatient care on three different wards, where you will get insight into several different care processes in different care units.
- Independent work supported by experienced nurses at each workplace. You will work alongside the regular staff and thus always have a permanent nurse as a colleague.
- Weekly supervision by a PhD-qualified psychiatric nurse during the trainee period, as well as access to lectures.
- Permanent employment within Forensic Psychiatry.
- There is also an opportunity to apply for paid further education to become a specialist nurse in psychiatric care.
- After completing the trainee program, a more ward-specific introduction may be offered, done in consultation with the responsible ward manager.
During the trainee program, you and the employer will plan which ward you will continue your employment at.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are:
- A registered nurse.
- Engaged in your work and contribute to a good work climate.
- Proactive and skilled at creating and maintaining good contacts.
- Adaptable to current situations and enjoy when your day is content-rich and varied.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
A extract from the criminal record and suspicion register will be requested before an employment offer is made. We will also require a drug test.
