Who we are

In the heart of Luleå, in the old Riksbank building, you will find our team of 25 employees – architects, building and civil engineers, construction and project managers, and bid coordinators. We work closely together on varied assignments that give you great opportunities to develop, whether you want to broaden your role or deepen your competence. Our projects range from multi-activity houses, ice and sports halls, to schools, housing, defense and preparedness, care and security residences, educational environments, and offices. We work closely with both public and private clients and gladly follow projects all the way from idea to finished environment, focusing on good architecture, quality, function, and long-term utility. Together with our studios in Piteå and Umeå, we form a joint unit called Kontor Norr, where we share knowledge and resources while being part of the entire Tengbom with colleagues and collaborations across the country. The Norrbottnian spirit is evident in our commitment to societal development but also in how we work – without hierarchy, solution-oriented, and with great responsibility for the whole.

About the role

As a studio manager at Tengbom, you have overall responsibility for personnel, economy, and results for your studio. In this role, you are one of our most important ambassadors – you nurture and develop customer relationships over time, and are also responsible in assignments. You lead a creative team of architects and building engineers and give them the right conditions to create good architecture and grow in their roles. You have a central role in business development where you network and work actively to identify businesses. You ensure long-term economic profitability for the studio, anchor and follow up on budget and business goals, strategies, and working methods. Parallel to your management role, you work actively in assignments. You report to the office manager and are part of the management group for our offices in the north, where you contribute to strategic work with great opportunities to influence, think new, and develop the whole.

About you

As a leader, you are coaching, sensitive, and communicative with a genuine interest in developing individuals, teams, and businesses. You inspire, build engagement, and relationships both internally and externally. You are established in the local market, preferably with a large network, and you work actively to identify new business opportunities. With a great interest in architecture and societal development and the drive to create profitable businesses, you lead co-creation towards innovative architecture that adds value to both the customer and the company. Through wise analysis and result focus, you combine strategic planning with operational work, and your holistic view drives the business forward. We want you to have at least 10 years of experience as an architect or building engineer, and deep insight into all parts of the design and construction process.
