Plant Engineering is looking for a Project Manager for the Electrical & Automation section! The role involves leading projects for new and existing process plants throughout the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility studies to commissioning and documentation. You are responsible for ensuring projects are executed according to time, budget, and scope in close collaboration with operations. The position has a particular focus on electrical and automation, where experience with power systems and high voltage is important.

About the role

Plant Engineering currently consists of approximately 25 people divided into two sections: Electrical & Automation and Mechanical Engineering. We are now looking for a Project Manager for the Electrical & Automation section. As a Project Manager at Plant Engineering, you work on projects in our facilities throughout the entire production flow. The role includes project management for new and existing process plants. You are responsible for delivering projects according to the desired scope within allocated times and cost limits. Projects are carried out in close collaboration with operations and customers, covering feasibility studies, pre-engineering, project execution, commissioning, and documentation. You will join a group of competent project managers and engineers within mechanical, media, electrical & automation, and civil engineering. You will work in close collaboration with other operations such as production, maintenance, purchasing, occupational health and safety, and environment.

This position has a clear focus on electrical and automation, where experience with power systems and high voltage is of great importance.

Your main responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies and investigations regarding future investments
• Manage multidisciplinary projects according to SSAB project routines
• Drive and ensure that projects are delivered according to the desired scope within allocated times and cost limits.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and executing complex repairs or assembly work on machinery
• Experience as a GIS engineer and/or land projects
• Experience with systems and tools such as MS Project, IFS/SAP, CAD tools, SiteBase
• Experience from power systems and/or automation
• Experience with high-voltage installations, relay protection, and communication protocols IEC61850
• Experience with Scada, for example MicroScada, ZEE600
• Authorization for electrical work
