Markverkstad Boden is in the startup phase for a new capability in medical technology. The position is located in Boden and is part of Markverkstad Norr, which operates in Arvidsjaur, Boden, Vidsel, Luleå, Umeå, Östersund, and Sollefteå. This new capability means that we will be able to perform maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' medical technology products and deliver technical system support where requested. This includes maintenance in the form of supervision, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scraping, installations, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and equipment inspection. The work is carried out in our own premises and partly at the units' locations.
In the startup phase, the position requires mandatory travel to Markverkstad Göteborg. These travels are included in the internal training package.
Main Responsibilities
The tasks consist mainly of preventive and corrective maintenance of the Swedish Armed Forces' medical technology equipment, including but not limited to:
- Maintenance of medical technology products
- System support travels within the Area of Operation for Division North
- Documentation in the Swedish Armed Forces' support system for equipment maintenance
- Conducting simple training sessions and providing technical support in the area
- Other recurring tasks within the unit
Examples of equipment handled: Monitoring monitors, defibrillators, infusion and volumetric pumps, autoclaves, dishwashers and disinfectors, pressure reducing valves, ventilators, suction pumps, etc.
Qualifications
- At least a completed and approved upper secondary education with a technical/electrical focus, or competence acquired through professional experience assessed by the employer as equivalent
- Previous experience of several years of practical service in maintenance and repair of technical equipment
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Computer literacy with knowledge of e.g., Word and Excel
- At least a Category B driver's license

You are flexible and can easily shift your focus and adapt to a changing environment. Furthermore, we are looking for someone with a positive attitude who wants to help develop the medical technology maintenance operations within the Swedish Armed Forces.

The work also entails requirements for travel and service, both domestic and international. The position is a civilian post.
