Job Description
We are looking for a meticulous and innovative Mechanical Engineer or similar professional to join our team in Piteå. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical components and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into market-ready solutions while maintaining the highest possible standards for quality and efficiency.
- Design and develop mechanical components and units using CAD software, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and industry standards
- Perform basic technical analyses and simulations (FEA, stress analysis, thermal modeling) to validate designs and optimize performance
- Collaborate with various disciplines and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth product development and successful implementation
- Analyze and solve complex technical problems through systematic troubleshooting and innovative approaches
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve product quality and manufacturability
- Evaluate manufacturing processes and material selection to balance performance, cost, and production efficiency
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering
- Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives within the development team
Qualifications
Required Competencies and Experience:
- Good knowledge of mechanical CAD software (Catia, SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalent)
- Basic experience with technical analysis tools and simulation programs (FEA, CFD, or similar)
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science, and material selection
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
