As a Project Assistant, you will support the development of production facilities by managing and updating facility documentation and contributing to the implementation of new documentation systems.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the planet's future and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will remain so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries with the highest greenhouse gas emissions globally. This must change. Therefore, we have developed the world's first fossil-free steel production process and committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play a key role in achieving this goal and contributing to the green transition of the entire steel industry.
About the Role
As a Project Assistant, you will become part of an engaged team working to develop and improve our production facilities.
Your Main Responsibilities
You will join a group of engineers who, in close collaboration with production and maintenance, develop and improve our existing and new production facilities. The assignments include preliminary studies, project engineering, design, implementation, and documentation.
Your role involves ensuring that existing systems for facility documentation are managed and kept up to date. We are in a phase where we are replacing our current systems, so a key part of the assignment is to contribute to this transition.
If you have a background in electrical design, the role also includes performing electrical design work in addition to facility documentation.
About You
We are looking for someone with experience in facility documentation within the industry or a similar background. We believe you are an organized individual who enjoys structure, is curious about new technology, and interested in managing documentation systems.
Knowledge of design work in electrical/mechanical/civil/media engineering is an advantage for this position.
You have good experience working in CAD and drawing environments. For the right candidate, the role may also include system responsibility for our CAD systems over time.
In this role, we see a responsible, proactive, and cooperative person with the ability to deliver results. It is also important that you are structured and receptive. Building relationships and trust is one of your driving forces. We expect you to be proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
You are now looking for a responsible and varied role as a Project Assistant/Designer within the process industry.
