Work and Integration is a unit within the Individual and Family Care department. We are constantly working to improve our ability to support people into employment or education. We offer, among other things, fixed-term employment, work training, internships, guidance and coaching, as well as job-seeking activities and job matching. Most people who come to us do so via the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen) or the Individual and Family Care department.

We currently have three different work training arenas: Recycling/ÅVC, café, and caretaking. One of our work supervisors at the Recycling center will be on leave to try other work, and therefore we are looking for a work supervisor.

The Social Services Administration consists of 600 employees, with a broad scope of tasks. The administration is divided into five operational areas and is located throughout the municipality. Here, we are responsible for providing care, support, service, health, and medical care to the municipality's citizens who need it, at all stages of life.

A day as a work supervisor at the Recycling center

As a work supervisor, you utilize people's abilities through supervision and support in work, with the aim of testing and developing work capacity. The supervision takes place through dialogue and practical work side by side with participants. The need for work training may, for example, be due to various types of functional variations, social problems, or language difficulties. Therefore, as a work supervisor, you have an important role in supporting and adapting based on the participants' needs. Being a work supervisor largely means functioning as a role model in the work situation, so you will participate actively in all existing tasks.

The work also involves ensuring that the services provided by the operation are delivered with high quality. This means for the Recycling center that you take care of items donated via the Recycling Center and make them sellable in our shop. In addition, we have cleaning and laundry assignments as well as moving assignments. From April to October, we collaborate with the Recycling Center and staff it with personnel. At the Recycling center, two work supervisors work together, and you are jointly responsible for planning, leading, and adapting the tasks.

Safety and a good work environment are important in your function. Some administration, such as documentation and attendance management, is included in the role.

You collaborate with fellow work supervisors and the coordinator for the work training arenas. Together, you plan the division of labor and assist each other in the different work teams.

Your qualifications

For this position, you need:

• education in pedagogy, social work, or equivalent competence acquired through relevant working life experience
• experience in leading others
• Category B driver's license

To succeed in the role, you are practically minded and have the ability to both collaborate and work independently, as well as being solution-oriented. You have an empathetic ability combined with a professional attitude, and with a belief in the individual's ability, you are skilled at motivating others and teaching. You also have good organizational and planning skills.

It is desirable that you also:

• have previously worked as a work supervisor at a work training arena
• have worked with people who have been far from the labor market
• have experience supervising people with different backgrounds
• have competence in carpentry and/or cleaning

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Other information

Temporary position until 2027-03-31 at 100% (with possibility of possible extension) starting as soon as possible.
