Are you motivated by making good business deals, building long-term relationships, and ensuring quality and delivery within the procurement segment? We are now looking for more Project Buyers for our construction operations within Peab in Örnsköldsvik and Sundsvall. Here you will have a key role in contributing business acumen and your procurement expertise to best support our construction projects.

About the role

As a Project Buyer, you work closely with site management and production and drive the entire procurement process, which includes planning, supplier assessments and selection, negotiation and follow-up, handling deviations, and contracts. The work is both operational and strategic, and your primary goal is to ensure procurement at the lowest total cost, including quality, service, logistics, delivery precision, and minimized risk exposure.

Depending on the size of the projects, you work with one large project or several smaller ones. In this work, you collaborate closely with the estimating, production, and QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) functions within the work group. As a Project Buyer, you are also part of a network with other buyers in construction in northern and southern Norrland, where experience sharing, information, and horizon scanning are part of your development in the field.

The role also offers the opportunity to support projects with questions related to project economics and contract matters, if there is an interest.

About you

To be successful in the role of Project Buyer, you should have an understanding of the industry and the construction process, from the estimating phase to delivery. You either already work fully or partially with procurement, or you are ready to make a career change.

You consider yourself to be structured, analytical, service-oriented, and communicative, with a likely educational background in procurement or construction. You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, a B driving license, and good computer skills.
