Your future challenge

BAE Systems Hägglunds is in an expansion phase due to several new billion-dollar deals. To meet the high demand, we are strengthening our team with a Sub-project Manager for System Procurement.

In strategic procurement, we work cross-functionally with many different interfaces. We collaborate with projects, technology, production, industrial cooperation, legal, export control, finance, marketing, aftermarket, and other organizations. This places high demands on a good holistic view, communication, commercial competence, and technical understanding. As we want to be successful in what we do, we are hiring a Sub-project Manager to support and drive selected areas.

As a Sub-project Manager, you belong to the System Procurement department. The department consists of 40 engaged and skilled employees in roles such as strategic buyer, administrator, group manager, and unit manager, and we are growing.

Your main tasks are to ensure that the project achieves established goals regarding time, quality, and economy using schedules with milestones, risk analyses, and economic follow-ups.

The tasks include among others:

  • Communication and reporting to and from projects regarding status and emerging challenges/opportunities.
  • Leadership of assigned resources and monitoring that development occurs within previously established internal contracts (sign-off).
  • Supporting buyers in planning and execution based on schedules and critical paths.
  • Quality assurance of work handed over from the line to the projects together with the department managers.
  • Keeping smaller cross-functional work groups together to drive a specific area.

You work closely with project participants and strategic buyers. Travel as part of the job is included.

Who you are

We are looking for you who have:

  • An education in engineering, economics, or project management.
  • Experience in planning/project management/procurement.
  • Experience working with the Office package.

Meritorious experience includes:

  • Experience in our industry and our products.
  • Experience from business systems and planning tools.

To be successful in your role, you are a clear communicator with the ability to quickly identify the most important aspects in complex information. You are structured, responsible, and have good planning and follow-up skills. You are business-minded, result-oriented, and have a good understanding of procurement processes. You build and maintain relationships internally and externally, take initiative, and prioritize effectively to achieve good results.

As we operate internationally, it is important that you can express yourself orally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
