We are now looking for an engaged Buyer who wants to take overall responsibility for the purchasing process and contribute to the success of both our projects and our company. Here, you will work closely with dedicated colleagues, develop in a flexible role, and help shape the construction projects of the future! The Role of Buyer As a Buyer, you will have a central role where you drive the project's purchasing matters throughout the entire process – from tendering and design to production. You are responsible for inquiries, tender evaluations, negotiations, contracts, follow-up, and have the opportunity to influence both the projects' and the company's results through your business decisions. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, specialists, and other key personnel, where you contribute your expertise to several parallel projects of varying sizes and complexities. You work with project purchasing within earthworks and infrastructure and interpret drawings and documents. Here, you become an important part of the purchasing organization, where we together drive the work forward based on the group's guidelines. You will be part of the department's purchasing organization where we jointly drive the purchasing work based on the group's guidelines, and you report to the Department's Purchasing Manager. Today, the team consists of eight buyers based in different locations within the department, from Luleå in the north to Karlstad in the south. You can read more about the Buyer role here | NCC About Department Civil North Our department, Civil North, works with earthworks, infrastructure, and infrastructure projects. We are approximately 500 employees distributed across seven production manager groups within our geography: Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Västernorrland, Jämtland, and Värmland. We are looking for you who have experience of purchasing work in the construction industry, or perhaps have worked as a site manager, project manager, tender, contracting, or project engineer. If you also have knowledge of contracting law, such as AB, ABT, AF, and AMA, it is an advantage. You have driven complex purchases and are accustomed to negotiating and building long-term and good business relationships. With your holistic view, you understand the value chain from the tender phase to production and handover to the customer. As a person, you are curious, meticulous, result-oriented, and solution-oriented. You see opportunities where others see challenges and enjoy working both independently and in teams.
- The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probation period.
- Location at our office in Umeå, alternatively Sundsvall or Östersund.
- A Category B driver's license is required as some travel within the department occurs.
- You master Swedish and English in speech and writing.
