About the company
Saab is a leading defense and security company with the mission to help nations protect their populations and contribute to the safety of people and communities. With 28,000 talented employees, Saab develops technology and solutions for a safer and more sustainable world.
Saab develops, manufactures, and maintains advanced systems within flight technology, weapons, command and control systems, sensors, and underwater systems. Saab is headquartered in Sweden but has a global presence, where it is part of the defense capability of many nations.
Your responsibilities
At Saab, you will work with quality from a holistic perspective, in close collaboration with production, purchasing, development, and suppliers. The role and areas of responsibility may vary, but you will play a key role in ensuring, monitoring, and developing quality in complex technical processes.
Depending on your background and experience, you may work with tasks such as:
- Handling quality deviations, complaints, and defect cases
- Quality assurance of products, materials, and processes
- Root cause analysis, risk analysis, and improvement work
- Development and creation of quality processes and controls
- Collaboration with production, customers, and/or suppliers
- Audits and follow-up of quality performance
The work takes place in cross-functional teams and may involve both operational and developmental aspects. Some roles involve close contact with customers/suppliers and travel, while others focus more on production and internal processes.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who is structured, solution-oriented, and has a genuine interest in quality. You are communicative and have the ability to clearly and convincingly explain quality requirements and risks to various stakeholders. You thrive with responsibility, take initiative, and enjoy working both independently and in teams. You have an egalitarian approach and a desire to develop.
To thrive in the role, we see that you have:
- A university degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Several years of experience in quality work or project management, preferably within industry
- Knowledge of quality tools, methods, and standards (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, 6σ, RCA, MSA, FMEA)
A requirement for the role is very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. Experience with audits, improvement work, or working with suppliers/customers is highly meritorious.
The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance assessment according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
Application process
In this recruitment process, Saab collaborates with Skill. The position is initially a consultancy assignment via Skill with the possibility of extension and direct employment at Saab.
Due to holiday periods, selection and feedback will begin in week 33. Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to your application! For questions regarding the recruitment process, contact the responsible recruiter: Daniella Nygren, [email protected]
