About the role

As the Unit Manager for Digital Development, you lead 15–20 system developers, database developers, and test specialists. Your task is to create the conditions for your employees to generate value in our deliveries. You have personnel, operational, and budgetary responsibility for the unit. You report to the Section Manager and are part of the section's management group, which consists of four units.

In the role of Unit Manager, your most important task is to create the conditions for your employees, both as individuals and as a team, to work and develop in the right direction. We are an organization in growth and change, and you are a key person in creating security in the forward direction. You work closely with your fellow managers, and you support and receive support from each other.

You belong to the Medicines Department and the Digital Development Section. We have approximately 150 employees within digital development, service development, and investigation. The department is responsible for providing services that enable patient-safe and cost-effective medication management for healthcare, pharmacies, and citizens. We also contribute to the Swedish eHealth Agency's mission to drive the development of the national digital infrastructure.

About you

We are looking for someone who is confident and clear in their leadership. You are collaboration-oriented and build relationships at all levels of the organization. You lead change and bring ideas on how the business and individuals can develop. In your change leadership, you are strategic and take a holistic perspective. It is natural for you to take responsibility for both your own work and for decisions made.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • An academic degree of at least 180 hp (120p under the old system) in a relevant field.
  • Current and multi-year managerial experience with responsibility for operations, personnel, and budget.
  • Multi-year experience as a leader or manager for agile software development teams.
  • Very good ability to communicate in speech and writing in Swedish.

The following qualifications are meritorious for the position:

  • Experience in work related to healthcare, for example, the development of digital health services.
  • Experience working as a system developer.
  • Experience working in the public sector or other regulated activities.
  • Experience working according to agile delivery models.
  • Experience presenting material to small and large groups.
