About Polhemsgården

Polhemsgården in Solna consists of 80 apartments with a dementia focus, of which five places are short-term and exchange beds. Polhemsgården has nature and gardens as its profile. Outdoor activities and activities in nature, parks, and gardens are natural parts of our daily life. We work with different nature themes throughout the year. We have nurses on duty 24/7, year-round.

We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that everyone who works here is trained in dementia and interaction via Silvia Hemmet.

We have a collaboration with the company Ung Omsorg. This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg arranges various activities to add a golden touch to the lives of our residents.

You have a group leader who spends most of their time working closely with you in the operations. Becoming a group leader can also be a career opportunity for you as a nursing assistant.

As a nursing assistant, you are extremely important!

Your task is to provide quality of life. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see every person and interpret what they need. At the same time, you learn a lot about care, aging, and how to interact with people.

You are closest to the resident and thus have a key role in the team with the nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist. You also participate in care planning and write social documentation.

Your experience and knowledge

Education as a nursing assistant with a protective title is a requirement, as is having worked for a few years in elderly care. You have good computer skills and experience with documentation. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you share our values and have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.
