Do you want to avoid being niche and instead own the entire lifecycle of next-generation electronic products? We are looking for a curious Electronics Engineer in Lund to join a global tech company where your drive weighs heavier than the number of years on your CV!

About the role

This is a long-term consulting assignment where you will be employed as a consultant by Academic Work and work on-site at our client's premises, a world-leading and award-winning technology company in Lund. The assignment starts flexibly during late summer/autumn and runs in 6-month blocks. There is currently no planned end date – on the contrary, there is a very clear ambition and opportunity for extension. As an Electronics Engineer on your projects, you will have broad and varied responsibilities ranging from early PoC and schematic design to lab tests and EMC certification, constantly supported by a strong internal electronics team of 9 people.

Responsibilities

The role involves broad responsibility for the entire electronics lifecycle in the development of speakers and system products, from design and verification to certification.

  • Concept & Design: Develop early PoCs (Proof of Concept), work on schematic design, and make strategic component selections.
  • Verification & Lab: Perform practical lab tests using oscilloscopes, bode plotters, and frequency counters, as well as make modifications and soldering at the PCB level.
  • Certification & Environment: Conduct environmental testing in temperature chambers and prepare the product for EMC and Safety certification.
  • Project Management & Collaboration: Create schedules, risk analyses, and documentation. You collaborate closely with the PCB-CAD department during the layout phase and actively participate in design reviews of both your own and colleagues' projects.

We are looking for someone who

  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Academic education in electrical engineering.
  • Good practical knowledge in schematic design and component selection.
  • Practical knowledge of hardware verification and measurement techniques using tools such as oscilloscopes, bode plotters, or frequency counters.
  • Basic practical knowledge of soldering and modifications at the PCB level.
  • Basic theoretical or practical knowledge of EMC, Safety, and environmental certification (e.g., temperature testing).

It is an advantage if you have

  • Basic knowledge of the CAD tool Xpedition.
  • Practical experience of taking a product all the way through the certification process (EMC/Safety).

To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities:

  • Goal-oriented
  • Social
  • Stable
  • Responsible
  • Intellectually curious

Our recruitment process

This recruitment process is handled by Academic Work, and our client's request is that all questions regarding the position are sent to Academic Work.

We apply rolling selection and will take down the ad when enough candidates have reached the final stage of the recruitment process. A CV is required when applying. We do not use cover letters as a selection method, so one is not needed. The recruitment process includes two selection tests: a personality test and a cognitive ability test. The tests are a tool to find the candidate with the highest potential for the role and to promote equality, diversity, and a fair recruitment process.
