The Business Area (VO) Adult Psychiatry Helsingborg provides inpatient and outpatient care in Ängelholm, Helsingborg, and Landskrona. Our catchment area consists of the ten municipalities in northwestern Scania, with which we collaborate closely through joint meetings and care planning. Adult Psychiatry Ward 58 in Helsingborg operates under a user-led admission model. This means we care for patients who have access to user-led admission due to, for example, serious self-harm behaviors or suicidal thoughts. The patient admits themselves to the ward by contacting us and receives care from us for up to three days. They can admit themselves up to three times a month.

User-led/self-chosen admission is a goal-oriented and structured break in a stressful daily life for the individual. The admission is not a standalone intervention, nor is it an unstructured break. The method can be used in conjunction with therapeutic approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT). During the admission period, the individual can still attend any planned visits in outpatient care. This is planned based on the individual's needs and through collaboration between the individual and the psychiatrist. User-led/self-chosen admission has a positive effect on the number of care days, the number of care occasions, and the use of coercive measures. Job Responsibilities

We offer you an independent and varied job where your main responsibilities are to provide good psychiatric nursing care for our patients. The care work is always based on the patient's individual needs, and you will receive an individually adapted introduction with on-the-job training according to personal needs. Competence development and supervision, for example in patient work, take place continuously. Team collaboration, where different competencies and experiences enrich and complement each other, is fundamental to our way of working. Our operations are characterized by diversity and high competence. The work is varied, and you will be involved in influencing the development towards the psychiatry of the future.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant (undersköterska) and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current program structure. Since the work largely involves communication and documentation, good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required. You also master basic medical-technical procedures at the nursing assistant level.

Applicants who currently hold a permanent employment with the professional title 'skötare' (care assistant) can apply and will retain the professional title upon employment (at least until 2033, when the title 'skötare' ceases to exist within our operations).

It is meritorious if you have experience working in psychiatry or with patients with mental illness. In addition, good computer skills and basic knowledge of our medical record system, Melior, are advantageous.

You have a genuine interest in psychiatric nursing and always put the patient in focus. Furthermore, you have good prioritization skills and contribute to a good work environment. For the role, it is important to be able to remain calm and have a good, low-affective approach in stressful situations; therefore, we are looking for someone who is secure and stable as a person. With a high sense of service and responsibility, as well as good collaboration skills, you meet the situation the patient and their relatives are facing with humility. Additionally, you enjoy supervising students and feel secure in that role. We are keen on finding the right people and therefore place great emphasis on personal suitability.
