Your new job

We are currently looking for more assistant nurses for day and evening shifts, as well as one assistant nurse for night shifts. As an assistant nurse, you are an important part of our residents' daily lives. You work in a person-centered way, providing care, support, and nursing based on each individual's needs.

The tasks are varied and range from personal care, medication management, and rehabilitative interventions delegated to you, to walks and social activities, as well as ongoing documentation and reporting. You have contact responsibility for specific residents, participate in palliative care, and actively participate in any ombudsman roles during the year.

The work requires good communication and collaboration between different professional roles, as well as knowledge of lifting techniques and the use of assistive devices. In this role, you collaborate closely with colleagues, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, coordinators, and unit managers, while building good relationships with residents and their relatives.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse and who meet the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for the protected professional title. If you have longer and relevant experience in care and elderly care, this can replace the educational requirement. Work experience from elderly care is meritorious.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing, and are comfortable using digital work tools. The work requires physical mobility as situations arise that cannot be predicted and must be handled in a way adapted to the situation.

As a person, you are secure, responsible, and perceptive. You enjoy collaborating, are flexible in your approach to work, and have a genuine commitment to creating the best possible daily life for the elderly. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Welcome to us

Skärstadal Elderly Care Home is beautifully located in the heart of Skärstad, approximately 10 kilometers north of Huskvarna, by the old national road towards Gränna. Here there are 48 apartments distributed across five units, including a dementia unit and two short-term places.

It is an advantage if you have a driver's license and access to a car, but it is not a requirement. Bus connections are available to and from Skärstadal with slight schedule adjustments. There is also a nice bike path from Jönköping/Huskvarna all the way to Skärstad.

Good to know

The recruitment concerns several full-time positions, both permanent and fixed-term temporary positions. Working hours are scheduled with day, evening, and weekend shifts. We are also looking for an assistant nurse for a night position. In Jönköping Municipality, we apply every other weekend.

Before an employment contract is signed, those offered the night position will be called to the Municipal Health Center for a health check. The health check is a requirement for all of our night positions.
