In connection with an organizational restructuring, we are bringing all design sub-project managers together into one unit with three groups – and are therefore looking for three new group managers. You will be involved from the start and help shape both the content and working methods within your group.

The three departments are:

• Department A: Sub-project managers within electrical, electronics, and electromechanics
• Department B: Sub-project managers within software and configuration managers
• Department C: Sub-project managers within mechanics

As a group manager here, you will become part of the unit's management team and have the opportunity to combine strategic leadership with operational support in complex development projects. Future collaboration between the group managers within the unit will be key to succeeding as a whole.

About the departments

The new unit brings together sub-project management and configuration managers within design into a common organization. The three departments are built around different technical and development areas, where each group manager is responsible for:

• developing and monitoring working methods, quality, and deliverables within their technical area
• ensuring the right competence, resources, and staffing for ongoing and future projects
• driving improvements related to their specific development area

The departments will consist of a mix of employees and consultants, where you as a group manager are responsible for the overall picture. Close, everyday collaboration between the group managers is central to creating common working methods and uniform deliverables from the entire unit.

Your role as Group Manager

As a group manager, you have personnel responsibility and are responsible for building, leading, and developing your department. The role includes, among other things:

• leading, coaching, and developing employees in their roles as sub-project managers (and configuration managers in Department B)
• being responsible for recruitment to your department and managing the mix of employees and consultants
• monitoring goals, deliverables, and development within your technical and area of responsibility
• driving and further developing working methods, processes, and tools for sub-project management
• collaborating closely with other project managers, system owners, and other functions
• contributing actively to the unit's management group and collaborating closely with other group managers

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• has relevant technical education (e.g., university degree/civil engineer) or equivalent experience
• has experience in project work, preferably as a project manager or sub-project manager
• has experience with or a clear desire to take personnel responsibility and drive recruitment
• is communicative, clear, and receptive
• stands for a clear "we" and actively promotes a good collaboration climate – both within your own group and together with other group managers and functions
• fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Experience from the defense industry, automotive industry, or other heavy technology-intensive operations is meritorious.
