About the Operations

The Hearing Care department is part of the Eye/Hearing Care operational area and is responsible for rehabilitation, habilitation, interpretation services, and technical support for county residents of all ages with hearing impairments, deafness, deaf-blindness, or other hearing problems. We are located in Sundsvall, Härnösand, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik. In total, we have 40 employees with combined expertise. This includes audiologists, receptionists, technicians, engineers, educators, special educators, counselors, psychologists, and doctors, all offering early coordinated and comprehensive interventions based on various areas of competence.

Employees in Technical Hearing Care are based at the Hearing Centers in Härnösand and Sundsvall. We also have part-time duties at the Hearing Centers in Örnsköldsvik and Sollefteå to provide service to all residents of the county.

We are now looking for two hearing technicians for the technical hearing center. The positions are permanent full-time roles with start dates to be agreed upon. One position is based in Sundsvall and the other in Härnösand.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a hearing care technician include:

• Repair of hearing aids
• Repair and installation of hearing technology aids

Installations take place in the patient's home environment as well as in school settings. You will have assignments covering the entire region. According to a rolling schedule, you will work in another location for three days every fifth week, including overnight stays.

You will be part of a well-established team where sharing experience and knowledge is second nature. We have an onboarding/training period where, as a hearing care technician, you will be given adapted tasks based on your prior knowledge. The work as a hearing care technician is varied and autonomous with personal responsibility.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Have a technical education with a focus on electronics
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
• Hold a valid B-class driver's license

It is an advantage if you

• Have experience working as a hearing care technician
• Have experience working in data, telephony, electronics, or technical installations
• Have previous practical experience working with patients
