Your future challenge

In the SIL department, we work with test development and testing of software-based functions in our vehicle systems. Testing is performed on our test benches as well as directly in our vehicles.

Although there is some practical work involved, the Test Designer role is more theoretical, with the main task being to interpret and understand our decomposed system requirements and then realize these into test cases. As a Test Designer, you will gain a very deep understanding of how our subsystems work.

Typical tasks for a Test Designer include:

• Reviewing and analyzing requirements and specifications for electronics and software-based functions.
• Determining how to verify requirements to ensure functionality and safety.
• Creating test cases in text format.
• Participating in planning what is to be tested.
• Analyzing test results and fault reports.
• Performing tests on our test benches and in vehicles.

As a Test Designer, you will collaborate not only with your closest colleagues but also with other departments such as the Systems Department and Design Departments regarding the development and design of test cases.

The person you are

We prefer that you have a university education in the technical field, preferably in electronics or software. You have previous experience designing, performing, and documenting tests. If you have prior experience with embedded systems or knowledge of vehicle systems, we consider this highly meritorious.

As a person, you have strong self-drive, are meticulous, and take great responsibility. You have good collaboration and communication skills and are a good team player who wants to help drive our work forward.

Good knowledge of Swedish and English is a requirement.
