Welcome to a future full of opportunities!

Your future challenge

You will serve as a production engineering support to both the production and design departments. You will be part of a team of over 25 production engineers.

In your daily work, you will:

  • Lead the development and industrialization of robust welding processes for series production.
  • Ensure manufacturability through production reviews and feedback on drawing documentation regarding welding quality.
  • Drive the introduction and qualification of new base and filler materials in production.
  • Act as the key technical person between production, design, and defense in welding-related matters.
  • Own the flow of welding deviations in SAP and translate quality investigations into concrete improvements.
  • Participate in investment projects from requirement setting to commissioned welding equipment and new technology.
  • Provide specialist welding support for the CV90, BvS10, and Beowulf platforms, as well as upcoming new platforms in the early design stage.
  • Develop and maintain repair methods, including method descriptions and technical instructions.

The production engineering department is part of a unit within BAE called "Prototype and Hull". Within our unit, we build the chassis that become finished vehicles, handling all processes – from cutting to painting – in-house with high-tech machinery.

Reporting is done to the Production Engineering Manager.

The person you are

We are looking for you who have a technical university degree, vocational training in production engineering, or other relevant education. An IWS and IWE certification is advantageous. You should have both practical and theoretical experience in manual and robotic welding. Experience with the design tool CATIA, as well as the business systems SAP and Aras, is also a plus.

As we are an international corporation, you are expected to have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.

As a person, you are technically interested and structured. You have your own drive and thrive in collaboration with others. You are a problem solver who works with a clear focus and enjoys tying loose ends together into a whole.

What you will become a part of

Here, you will have fun at work, and no day will be like the other. You will have a broad role with many contact areas and great opportunities. You will work with technology and problem-solving, and have good prospects for competence and career development.
