Engaged Work Supervisor, LSS

About the role

Individkraft operates daily activities for individuals covered by circle 1 under the LSS act (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). We primarily work with creative tasks such as crafts, art, music, gaming, and data/media. In addition, we offer various forms of wellness activities.

In this role, you will plan and carry out activities with participants both in groups and individually. Together, you will create a positive environment for meaningful, developmental engagement and a joyful social context.

You will work in a supportive, training-oriented, and motivational manner to guide and help participants work towards their individual goals. The role requires that you are skilled at motivating and inspiring others and finding creative solutions.

You will also provide support during activities, where you will "pick up" on individuals who need extra staff support to perform their tasks. You will also work with people with various disabilities and provide practical assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meals.

About you

We are looking for someone with a secondary education in nursing care, preferably with a focus on disabilities, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Alternatively, a post-secondary education within one of our areas of operation is acceptable.

You should feel confident in your role and have at least 3 years of experience working with this target group. You should feel confident handling challenging behavior. If you have knowledge in one or more of our activities, such as crafts, wellness, data/media, gaming, art, or music, this is a significant advantage.

It is an advantage if you have pedagogical education and training in communication, for example, TEACCH (TACDC).

A significant part of your work involves maintaining social documentation. Therefore, it is necessary that you master Swedish well, both in speech and writing.

You feel comfortable working independently and can be flexible based on the wishes and needs of our participants. You are unpretentious, curious, have a positive attitude, and enjoy collaborating. You thrive in dynamic environments and are good at prioritizing. You must have the ability to listen and empathize with others' situations and possess strong empathetic skills. You enjoy working in a structured, quality-conscious, and solution-focused manner based on each participant's individual needs.

You see value in seeing others grow and possess genuine empathetic and sympathetic abilities, as well as a low-affective approach when needed.
