About the role

In the role of Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading infrastructure projects for substations within the transmission grid. The projects have a budget within a large range, varying between approx. 10 MSEK-600 MSEK. You represent Svenska Kraft Net as the client, which means you are responsible for the project's time, cost, and results.

In the role of Project Manager in the Early Phase, you will manage feasibility studies for substation projects. You will lead and conduct feasibility studies of various sizes with the help of your team of approx. 10-15 people with specialist competencies. Together, you deliver a result that forms the basis for investment decisions and ordering of subsequent project implementation. You are responsible, together with your team, for among other things:

  • Substation design and placement of substations
  • Risk analysis for project implementation, working environment, and environmental impact
  • Support for investment decisions as well as schedule and cost estimate for the implementation phase
  • Conduct and drive dialogue with stakeholders and drawing up agreements
  • Lead meetings with internal and external parties

In the role of Project Manager, you have a delegation for work environment and electrical safety.

You will belong to the Substation Projects department and be placed in one of the units within the department. The department's mission is to drive infrastructure projects from feasibility study to completed facility. We place high focus on ensuring the work is driven with high personal safety, quality, efficiency, and low environmental impact. Today, approx. 80 project managers work in the department, and there are good opportunities to influence and make a difference, both in the projects and in the ongoing operations.

About you

Requirements

To thrive in the role of Project Manager, you need to focus on achieving results and feel confident in yourself and your competence. We want you to have the ability to handle stressful situations in a constructive way and support your project groups through a coaching approach. Furthermore, you have a strong focus on creating and maintaining good collaborations with both internal and external colleagues.

We are looking for you who have:

  • Civil or University Engineer with a technical orientation or equivalent experience acquired in another way
  • At least 3 years of documented experience working with feasibility studies/analysis/planning/design/investigation of power grids or other experience that we assess is equivalent
  • Construction Work Environment Coordination (BAS-P)
  • Experience in leading a project team
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience in designing substations on regional grids and/or transmission grids.
  • Background in electricity/power
