About the Company
At Alfa Laval, we always strive a little extra to meet the toughest challenges. Our driving force is to create success for our customers, people, and the planet. This can only be achieved through dedicated and curious individuals. Curiosity is the spark behind good ideas. And good ideas generate progress.
Alfa Laval in Ronneby, with approximately 420 employees, is one of Alfa Laval's four global factories where we manufacture copper-brazed and stainless steel heat exchangers. The products are used in heat pumps, air conditioning, district heating systems, and solutions for the green transition. The factory is in an expansive development phase where we continue to invest in people, technology, and business development.
We are now looking for a Controller who wants to help develop our business and simultaneously contribute to creating an even stronger finance function.
Responsibilities
Do you want to work in a role that combines business-oriented controlling with broad financial responsibility in an international industrial environment?
As a Controller at Alfa Laval, you will become an important part of the factory's finance function and a natural partner to production and business leadership. The role involves working closely with the business through analysis, follow-up, and financial decision support, while also playing an active role in closing processes, financial processes, and quality assurance of reporting.
You will work in a team where skills complement each other, and you will have the opportunity to develop within both controlling and financial management. The role involves many interfaces, both locally in Ronneby and internationally within Alfa Laval, giving you a good understanding of how finance and business are interconnected.
We are in a period of change where development is a natural part of everyday life. For you, this means great opportunities to influence working methods, processes, and how the finance function continues to evolve. We are therefore looking for someone who thrives in an environment where you are given responsibility and the opportunity to contribute with your own initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for performance follow-up, budgeting, forecasts, and financial analyses.
- Prepare and follow up product, inventory, and investment calculations.
- Act as a financial advisor to production and business managers.
- Participate in monthly and annual closing and ensure quality in financial data and reporting.
- Monitor variances and identify improvement opportunities within the business.
- Assist with audits and develop financial processes and working methods.
- Contribute with analyses and decision support that strengthen the business's profitability and competitiveness.
Your Profile
This is a role for you who appreciate the combination of analysis, business understanding, and operational financial work. You enjoy working close to production, are curious about how the business operates, and are motivated by turning numbers into concrete decisions and improvements.
You are a person who takes initiative and has the ability to prioritize in a changing environment. At the same time, you are unpretentious and value collaboration with colleagues from different parts of the organization. Since you will support managers with various financial issues, it is important that you can communicate financial relationships in a clear and pedagogical way.
We also believe that you have a genuine interest in manufacturing industry and appreciate being out in the business to create an understanding of the processes behind the numbers.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in economics/finance.
- At least five years of experience in qualified financial work.
- Experience in both controlling and closing processes.
- Experience in manufacturing industry.
- Good understanding of accounting and financial processes.
- Very good skills in Excel.
- Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
If you also have experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, BI tools, or work in an international group, we consider this a merit.
