Alemtek is looking for a Technical Buyer who can translate customer requirements, understand the technical needs, and find the right solution and supplier. You will be the bridge between our sales team and our suppliers.

You drive the entire purchasing process independently and thrive with significant personal responsibility. You are expected to take initiative, make decisions, and maintain order in both technical and business matters.

We measure well-being for real. An NPS of 92 from customers and an eNPS of 100 from employees show that we build lasting relationships. This has not gone unnoticed, and we have been awarded several prizes for our growth and corporate culture.

About Alemtek AB

Alemtek AB, founded in 2000, is a family-owned company offering innovative suspension systems through long-term collaborations. From our headquarters in Nybro, we help manufacturers of premium products in lighting, acoustics, and signage across Europe to hang their products in the best possible way.

Through long-term customer relationships, high quality, and fast service, we have built a strong market position and are now continuing our growth journey internationally.

Here you get the best of both worlds. The security of an established company combined with the freedom of a small and entrepreneurial team.

Your Responsibilities

The role spans several areas and requires you to be as comfortable with details as with seeing the big picture. You work closely with the sales team and management, supporting the business with technical expertise and actively contributing to the development of processes and working methods within your area. International supplier trips to Europe and Asia are a natural part of the role.

Purchasing & Supplier Development

  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers.
  • Drive the entire purchasing process - request and negotiate quotes (RFQ), prices, and lead times.
  • Handle deviations, complaints, and quality issues with suppliers.
  • Monitor raw material prices and market changes affecting purchasing costs.
  • Update and maintain supplier and purchasing data in the ERP system.
  • Manage and follow up on customer requirements related to sustainability, such as environmental certifications, codes of conduct, and traceability in the supply chain.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.

Technical Support & Customer Solutions

  • Understand the customer's technical requirements and translate them into concrete product solutions.
  • Support the sales team with technical advice and product specifications.
  • Assess manufacturability and cost early in the process.
  • Maintain and update product documentation and specifications.

Who are you?

You are the type who thrives with freedom under responsibility. You identify what needs to be done, structure your own work, and drive it forward - without waiting for someone to point the way. You have a natural problem-solving ability and do not stop at identifying what is wrong, but drive it all the way to a completed solution.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A technical education or background, preferably in mechanics, industrial economics, or similar.
  • Experience in purchasing in a technical environment, preferably with supplier contacts in Asia.
  • The ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience working independently and driving processes without detailed supervision.
  • Fluent Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
  • A business-minded, structured person who easily builds relationships with suppliers.

What do we offer?

  • Full ownership of Alemtek's purchasing process. You build and improve it, not just manage it.
  • Short paths from idea to action. We are a small company where good proposals are implemented, not just processed.
  • An international role with supplier trips to Europe and Asia.
  • A company with proven culture and customer satisfaction. NPS 92 from customers and eNPS 100 from employees speak for themselves.
  • Personal development and competence development in purchasing.
  • Good employee benefits.

Scope and Conditions

The position is 100% and you will be based at our office in Nybro. Working hours are daytime on weekdays, and the employment is permanent with an initial probation period of 6 months.

The right person for this role already knows it. Apply now!

In this recruitment, we apply continuous selection, and the position may be filled before the application period has ended.
