RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of specialist physician, your main responsibility is to diagnose, assess, and treat patients based on current research and established, proven experience. Here, you will often encounter individuals with complex and exciting care pathways and a need for in-depth psychiatric assessment, where you, with your competence, have great opportunities to make a difference.
As a doctor with us, you are given great opportunities to develop both the clinic and the content of care together with the unit manager and other colleagues. We constantly strive to improve and develop our operations, where we welcome your knowledge, ideas, and experience.
Since we receive medical students from the basic education program, you are expected to contribute with supervision for all levels of trainee doctors. Since the operations are classified as university healthcare, this means that we actively invest in both research and teaching, where there are several exciting ongoing research projects in the area.
QUALIFICATIONS
You who apply are a licensed physician with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare. In addition, you have specialist competence in psychiatry. Swedish language skills of at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement. You must have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.
To thrive with us, you need to enjoy taking significant personal responsibility while also enjoying teamwork and valuing the team's competence. We would like you to find psychiatry interesting and have a strong commitment to your work and the ability to understand the patient's unique needs. You have a desire to develop yourself, your colleagues, and the operations. Furthermore, you are willing to share your competence and collaborate with others, and you have good experience working in various support systems. Since we work in teams, it is important that you communicate easily and have good skills in collaborating and coordinating different tasks. You work within established frameworks and given guidelines, with the patient's best interest in focus. Personal suitability and good teamwork skills are highly valued.
At a university healthcare unit, physicians are required to have pedagogical experience and education. This can be acquired through supervising, for example, nursing and medical students as well as doctors in training, and as co-supervisor or main supervisor for doctoral students. Clearly describe in your application completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience of supervision and teaching at different levels.
