As one of our employees is going to study, we now have the opportunity to welcome a new colleague to our wonderful team for a temporary position lasting approximately nine months, with the possibility of extension.

At the adult psychiatric intermediate care unit, we are approximately nine staff members who receive patients with a temporarily increased need for support measures within adult psychiatry but who do not require round-the-clock care. Patients coming to us receive treatment according to a pre-developed program, and the focus is on recovery with interventions both in groups and individually. Here, participants get a safe forum where they can share their experiences while also gaining a better understanding of their illness and thereby finding strategies to achieve better health. Here, nurses, assistant nurses/caregivers, social workers, occupational therapists, and patient supporters work in cross-professional teams. We also have the opportunity to consult other units that the patient needs, and they assist us with the patient's best interests in focus.

We are an established unit with clear routines and care processes, while also being innovative and working with continuous improvements. The work takes place in close proximity to other units within psychiatry, and together we create good, dignified, and evidence-based care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a nurse, you are part of a team, together with nurses, social workers, caregivers/assistant nurses, and occupational therapists, where you function as the contact person for our patients. This means you have contact with psychiatric outpatient care and the municipality. You are responsible for psychiatric nursing care and participate in the care of our patients. Your duties also include making assessments, creating care plans, holding supportive conversations, planning, and documentation work. Additionally, it includes educational initiatives by participating in group activities with the patients. Group activities can include, among other things, psychoeducation groups, where staff are conversation leaders. There are several different groups with different themes where the purpose of the group activity is for patients to gain a greater understanding of their symptoms and find manageable strategies to achieve recovery.

Your employment begins with an introduction and supervision that takes place together with colleagues. You will be assigned a mentor during and after the introduction period, and we offer you adapted training opportunities that align with the work within the operations.

Working hours are daytime 08:00-16:30, and we use a flex system, which we see as an advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare and have experience working in psychiatry or somatic care. Language skills in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement. Additionally, you have good computer skills, and we would appreciate it if you have experience working with the medical record system Melior. If you have further education as a psychiatric nurse, this is meritorious.

Within the administration, there is also vision, hearing, and deaf operations and youth clinics in Skåne.
