Child and Student Health Services in Kristianstad Municipality is a central and unified department. It is a cross-professional operation where school health physicians (MLA), psychologists with leadership responsibilities (PLA), school psychologists, speech therapists, and special education teachers work together.

The role of Psychologist with Psychological Leadership Responsibility (PLA)

As a psychologist with psychological leadership responsibility (PLA), you have overall responsibility for ensuring quality, patient safety, and legal security within the psychological interventions of the student health services.

The role entails that, under delegation from the Head of Child and Student Health Services (operational manager), you are responsible for ensuring that psychological interventions are carried out with high quality, high patient safety, and in accordance with current legislation and governing documents.

You serve as the professional support for the Head of Child and Student Health Services in matters concerning the psychological operations of student health services and play a central role in development and quality work.

Your role with us

In the role of PLA, you will among other things:

  • Be responsible for profession-specific issues within the psychological interventions of student health services.
  • Support the Head of Child and Student Health Services in matters regarding quality, patient safety, and operational development.
  • Participate in the planning, follow-up, and development of the operation's management system.
  • Be responsible for developing, implementing, and following up on routines within the psychological operations.
  • Contribute to systematic quality work and patient safety reporting.
  • Participate in risk analyses, deviation management, and Lex Maria investigations.
  • Follow developments within the profession, research, legislation, and national guidelines.
  • Provide professional support and guidance to the municipality's psychologists.
  • Represent the operation in internal and external networks and collaboration forums.
  • Drive strategic development work within Child and Student Health Services together with the Head of Child and Student Health Services.
  • Work as a school psychologist for 50% of the time.

Documentation and feedback are a natural part of the role.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who:

  • Are a licensed psychologist.
  • Have several years of experience working as a psychologist within student health services or other operations directed towards children and young people.
  • Have good knowledge of school law, health and medical care legislation, and relevant regulations.
  • Have experience in quality and development work.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in leadership, coordination, or development assignments.
  • Experience in systematic quality work and patient safety work.
  • Experience in student health services.

To succeed in the role, you need to be strategic, meaning you have the ability to see the big picture, translate governing documents into practical operations, and drive long-term development. We want you to work in a structured and systematic manner with a focus on quality, legal security, and patient safety. You are good at collaborating and building trust by leveraging your professional competence to support, guide, and develop the operation. You must have a B-category driver's license to navigate the municipality easily when needed.

When we wish to offer you the position, you are required to present an extract from the police record of convictions so that we can employ you, according to regulations in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the School Act.
