The Municipal Executive Office leads, develops, and supports the municipality's overall organization and operations based on current legislation and guidelines. Within our departments, we work with finance, HR, communication, citizen services, as well as planning and growth. A cooperation agreement has been concluded regarding preparedness work for Trelleborg, Vellinge, and Skurup municipalities, meaning that all work is coordinated via the Security Unit in Trelleborg. We are now looking for a new colleague within crime prevention, safety-enhancing work, civil defense, crisis preparedness, and other security issues for the Municipal Executive Office, Security Unit in Trelleborg.

Responsibilities

In the role of Security Coordinator, you will work broadly within the municipality's security work. Together with the Security Chief and other colleagues, you will be responsible for the following areas:

Continuity Analyses – Conduct analyses and follow-up on analyses together with relevant operations.

Crisis Preparedness and Civil Defense – Plan for further training and development of the municipalities' crisis support. Develop and compile preparedness plans for identified risks and conduct risk analyses. Plan and ensure the implementation of Preparedness Week.

Crime Prevention and Safety-Enhancing Work

In Trelleborg and Skurup municipalities, we work on crime prevention and safety-enhancing measures.

Technical and Physical Security

With the new camera law, the need for legal and technical assessments prior to video surveillance is growing. You will also ensure that the municipality's properties meet current guidelines and maintain the correct security standards, e.g., regarding passage and alarm systems.

The responsibilities include participating in security-related projects, conducting risk and vulnerability analyses, and contributing to crisis management and handling of incidents. The work also involves developing guidelines, instructions, and other steering documents.

You will also work on developing and implementing steering documents and preparing decision support materials. The role involves representing the unit in various collaboration forums together with other municipalities, authorities, and organizations.

The work takes place in close collaboration with several different stakeholders and spans the entire area of operations. A large part of the assignment involves formulating and documenting guidelines and instructions, which requires good pedagogical and written skills. Since the assignment is varied and constantly developing, it is important that you adapt easily and can plan and prioritize your work effectively.

Qualifications

For the role of Security Coordinator, an academic education in security, risk management, or another direction deemed relevant by the employer is required. You have relevant professional experience for the assignment.

The position requires a B driving license, as you need to be able to travel between the cooperating municipalities, where part of the work is performed.

Meritorious for the position is similar professional experience from municipal operations or politically controlled organizations.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability. You can demonstrate the ability and examples of working both independently and in a team. You have a natural aptitude for working in a structured, solution-focused, and pedagogical manner. You also have very good communicative skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Since assignments may arise with short notice, you need to be flexible, self-reliant, and have good ability to prioritize and plan your work.
