About the role
As a unit economist, you play a central role in the unit's financial work and actively contribute to ensuring that operations are conducted efficiently and in accordance with current regulations. You work closely with managers and employees, serving as a qualified support in financial matters.
The work is varied and includes, among other things:
- Budgeting and financial planning
- Follow-up, analysis, and forecasting
- Financial accounting and reporting
- Invoice processing and financial administration
- Support in purchasing and other finance-related matters
- Advisory and service to managers and employees
As part of the staff, you will also become part of a team where we work together to achieve results. This means that, in addition to your main tasks, you may occasionally support other parts of the department or unit as needed. Here, we share responsibility for the whole, share our expertise, and work together to achieve results.
You do not need a military background – we value your financial competence and commitment.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- An academic degree in economics or other education/experience considered equivalent
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially Excel
Meritorious
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience with the PRIO system (SAP)
- Experience working with budgets, forecasts, and follow-ups
- Ability to analyze financial information and prepare decision support materials

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit
The Third Naval Warfare Flotilla is an operational unit in the Swedish Navy. The flotilla has the capability to control sea areas, sea routes, and shipping, conduct operations on and under the surface, and clear mines in harbor areas, coastal waters, and open sea. The unit operates both nationally and internationally. Ships and staff train and prepare both sailors and officers for immediately deployable units. The flotilla also continuously provides personnel for various international operations.
Year-round and around the clock, the flotilla contributes to security by patrolling and monitoring Swedish maritime territory.

Employment with us involves placement in a security class. Swedish citizenship is usually required.
