Job Description

To our friendly team and office in Östersund, we are now looking for a Project Design Manager who can take on all exciting assignments, but above all, strengthen our team.

In this role, you are responsible for and lead the design work, ensuring that projects are executed with high quality, within budget, and according to schedule.

You will:

• Lead and coordinate design work from the early stages to final delivery.
• Ensure that the design meets requirements for quality, time, and economy.
• Act as the coordinating link between the client and AFRY's project team.
• Drive and coordinate technical solutions in close collaboration with AFRY's combined expertise across multiple disciplines.
• Lead the project team, distribute and follow up on work, and support and develop colleagues.

You work with the big picture, lead and support colleagues, and collaborate closely with clients. Assignments vary from smaller local projects to larger, long-term, and complex assignments spanning several years.

Several major industrial and infrastructure initiatives are planned in Northern Sweden in the coming years. Together with you, we look forward to tackling the challenges and opportunities these projects entail within infrastructure and civil construction.

Qualifications

You have a university degree or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways, with at least 5 years of experience in various roles and stages within civil construction projects, either as a consultant, contractor, or client. We also expect you to have good knowledge of the laws, standards, and technical guidelines governing the industry, and that you can ensure our projects comply with current regulations and maintain high technical quality.

You have strong communication skills and are fluent in both Swedish and English.
