About the role

Here, you will become a key part of creating a safe and creative learning environment for our children and young people. Since the spring semester of 2022, we have offered a new subject, Film & Photo, open to students in grades 4–9. We are now looking for a teacher with a strong passion for film and photography. Töreboda Culture School also offers instruction in musical instruments, solo singing, choir singing, dance, as well as drama/theatre. The culture school also provides a variety of ensembles that children and young people can participate in.

As a teacher in film and photo, you will teach students in groups. You will also serve as a photographer during performances and exhibitions.

The position is a temporary substitute role at 20% during the autumn semester of 2026, with a holiday employment contract. The scheduling of working hours can be agreed upon.

As a teacher of photo and film at the culture school, you can expect a salary between 32,000 – 35,000 SEK, depending on experience and competence. Individual salary setting applies.

Qualifications

You have good experience in film and photography.

A pedagogical education is an advantage.

You are pedagogical and adapt your teaching to the student's level.

You collaborate easily with colleagues, guardians, and other stakeholders.

It is important that you are a confident person whose approach aligns with the culture school's values. You should have a positive outlook on life, but above all, you should be someone who feels joy, enthusiasm, and curiosity about this assignment and the challenges it entails. Your working style should be structured, flexible, and opportunity-oriented. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Salary

As a teacher of photo and film at the culture school, you can expect a salary between 32,000 – 35,000 SEK, depending on experience and competence. Individual salary setting applies.

Start Date

Start of the autumn semester 2026 or as agreed.
