About the role: As a Senior HW Designer, you are responsible for developing electronics and PCBs for advanced Battery Management Systems (BMS) for the company's battery products. You work with the entire chain, from requirement breakdown and architecture to schematic design, PCB layout, verification, and production documentation. In this role, you collaborate closely with system engineers, software engineers, cell experts, and suppliers to ensure robust and certifiable solutions. You will become part of the R&D HW team at the Battery Competence Center within an international company. The work is performed 80% on-site, with business travel possible depending on the location.

We are looking for someone who: Has several years of experience in circuit and PCBA design and is accustomed to working independently in complex development projects. You have previously designed BMS hardware using AFEs (Analog Front Ends) and MCUs, preferably with STM microcontrollers and Texas Instruments AFE chips, and have at least two years of practical experience with OrCAD for both schematic and PCB design. You are confident in component selection, interface definition with BMA (Battery Management Algorithm), HW-SW interface, and preferably also safety analyses such as FMEDA/MTTF. As a person, you are structured, collaborative, and naturally take responsibility for driving your area forward. Good knowledge of English is required; knowledge of Swedish is an advantage.

Advanced research and development are conducted here in both cell technology, electronics, and software to create efficient, safe, and scalable energy solutions. The R&D organization works in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, from component suppliers to product owners. The operations are characterized by clear processes, a high technical level, and good opportunities to influence future battery platforms.

Practical information: The position is located in Huskvarna or Jonsered, is full-time with a fixed, market-competitive salary, and has a start date to be agreed upon, considering any notice period.
