About the Division and Section
The Sea Division is a division belonging to the Naval Staff. The Sea Section Karlskrona is one of four sections belonging to the Sea Division; the other sections are located in Gothenburg, Muskö, and Visby. The task of Sea Section Karlskrona is to support the Navy Radio's communications center, which is located in a facility with the duty station in Karlskrona. The position is titled System Engineer and involves work with the operation, maintenance, and development of the command and communication systems that the section supports. Readiness duty is a natural part of the work. The section also participates in the Navy's training activities when extra technical support is needed. Parts of the initial training may be conducted at a location other than the duty station.
Main Responsibilities
- Independently or in a work team perform maintenance, troubleshooting, installation work, commissioning, modifications, and documentation on systems and equipment
- Work proactively with the development and maintenance of systems and equipment
- If necessary, you may need to act in a leading role in your function; you collaborate with customers and suppliers and support customers with technical issues
Requirements
Qualifications
- 3-year upper secondary education with a focus on IT/Technical direction or equivalent knowledge that can be assessed as equivalent
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
- Experience working with IT-based systems and troubleshooting them
- Category B driver's license

The employment is a civil permanent position, full-time, with an initial 6-month probationary period.
