The Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Unit (AFE) is an independent unit that, since January 1, 2026, has been part of the Health Professions division. AFE provides occupational therapy and physiotherapy services to all operations at Södersjukhuset. Approximately 15 occupational therapists and 35 physiotherapists work at AFE. We are organized with two rehabilitation managers, one for occupational therapists and one for physiotherapists, as well as three unit managers responsible for the daily operations of four competence areas.

Job Description

We are currently seeking an occupational therapist for our neurological department. The duties involve conducting occupational therapy assessments and interventions within the framework of acute neurology in inpatient care. The occupational therapist works with assessments of personal care, cognition, hand function, and overall function, as well as interventions related to these assessments. This includes ADL training, prescription of assistive devices, hand therapy, and follow-up on the patient's rehabilitation and aftercare needs. Due to our extensive collaboration with Karolinska Institutet, student supervision for semester 4 may also occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience in acute neurological conditions such as brain hemorrhages, stroke, ALS, and Guillain-Barré syndrome.

Competency Requirements:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist
