Do you want to work with one of the major public health challenges and become part of our cardiac rehabilitation team? At Danderyd Hospital, you will find one of the largest heart clinics in the country. We are now looking for a licensed physiotherapist for the heart department.

Job Description

We have a large operation within the heart department. The assignment covers both inpatient and outpatient care. Work in other areas of operation may also become relevant.

Tasks in inpatient care include, for example, assessments and treatments, fitting of assistive devices, designing training programs, and providing information to patients and relatives.

In our outpatient cardiac rehabilitation, you will meet patients who have had a heart attack, patients with angina pectoris, patients with heart failure, and patients who have undergone coronary artery bypass surgery. You perform assessments and tests, instruct and give individualized and adapted training advice, lead individual and group training, and evaluate the patient's function after rehabilitation. You also teach patients and relatives in the heart school.

Weekend duty and teaching students in practice-based education are included in the assignment.

Qualifications

The requirement is a licensed physiotherapist with a Swedish license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare.

We are looking for you who have worked for a few years in the profession, preferably in the heart area – both in outpatient and inpatient care.

It is meritorious if you have supervisor training. Specialist within, for example, heart/vessels, respiration, intensive care, or elderly care is also meritorious.

About the Operation

Organizationally, you belong to the Paramedical Section, which consists of approximately 80 employees distributed across five different units covering occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nutrition, and social work. Here, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, and social workers work within most of the hospital's areas of operation, with both inpatient and outpatient care. The unit has broad competence within each professional group, and colleagues are happy to share their knowledge and experience.
