About the role:

AcadeMedia is now investing in school psychologists. Our goal is a practice where psychologists and educators collaborate closely. We have invested in a central structure for psychologists and are establishing a solid framework for quality work. We strive to modernize our collaboration with student health services and continuously develop our working methods. This involves some digital solutions, but primarily you will be present at the schools.

Your role is to contribute expertise at the organizational, group, and individual levels, where the schools truly need your unique knowledge. Society is shaped in schools, which is why it is crucial for psychologists to be there with their knowledge of how mental well-being affects students and what they need to grow and learn in a healthy way. As a school psychologist, you will work together with the principal and the rest of the student health team to develop methods primarily focused on health promotion and prevention.

You will receive your assignments from the principal in collaboration with the student health team. This may involve supervising and training staff, observing students or student groups, and assessing students in the way you deem most beneficial. You will also be involved in implementing and following up on the action plans you propose. Another important function is collaborating with other societal agencies, such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP).

Who we are looking for

We are currently seeking a substitute school psychologist on a 100% basis, as our dear colleague is on parental leave.

You are a licensed psychologist with a strong drive to impact our schools from a clear student perspective. You must be able to work independently and collaborate with various professions. You are comfortable working closely with educators in a student-centered manner. In your work, you are structured, show good judgment, and view your role as supporting others. We want you, as a psychologist, to contribute a clear salutogenic approach, understanding, and knowledge of how psychological factors, in collaboration with the environment, affect students' opportunities to learn and thrive in school.

You need to be comfortable with digital work, as we use digital solutions to better meet the needs of the schools. You have good computer skills and are familiar with digital documentation. The position requires proficiency in the Office suite and good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Experience with children and schools, as well as advanced knowledge of developmental psychology, RFT (Relational Frame Theory), learning psychology, and pedagogy, is meritorious. Experience with methods such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and CPS (Collaborative & Proactive Solutions) is also meritorious, as is experience in driving projects, quality development, and giving lectures. You should be able to conduct a school psychological assessment independently, although you will naturally receive support in your evaluations.
