AcadeMedia is the largest education company in the Nordics, operating primary and secondary schools across Sweden. Today, we have over 90 primary schools spread across Innovitaskolan, Noblaskolan, Montessori Mondial, Pops Academy, Prolympia, and Vittra. Our employees have different roles and competencies, but share a strong common focus on quality and development. We help our students develop and reach their goals, and therefore, we are looking for you who want to be part of making Sweden a little bit better.

What we offer you

You will have a fun and varied role where no two days are alike. You will become part of competent and driven student health teams, as collaboration is a guiding principle for us. You will be employed centrally but work locally at the schools. You will receive professional support from our lead psychologist and an external supervisor, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with other psychologists across Sweden.

About the operations:

AcadeMedia is now investing in school psychologists. Our goal is to create a operation where psychologists and educators collaborate closely. We have established a central structure for psychologists and are developing a robust framework for quality work. We strive to modernize our collaboration with student health services and continuously develop our working methods. This involves digital solutions to some extent, but mostly you will be present on-site at the schools.

Your role is to contribute expertise at the organizational, group, and individual levels, where the schools truly need your unique knowledge. Society is shaped in schools, which is why it is crucial for psychologists to be present with their knowledge of how mental well-being affects students and what they need to grow and learn in a healthy way. As a school psychologist, you will work together with the principal and the rest of the student health team to develop methods primarily focused on health promotion and prevention.

You will receive your assignments from the principal in collaboration with the student health team. This may involve supervising and training staff, observing students or student groups, and assessing students in a way that benefits the individual. You will also be involved in implementing and following up on the action plans you propose. Another important function is collaborating with other societal institutions, such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP).

What we are looking for

We are currently looking for a school psychologist at 80% in Stockholm.

You are a licensed psychologist with a strong drive to influence our schools from a clear student perspective. You must be able to work independently and collaborate with many different professions. You are comfortable working closely with educators in a student-centered manner. In your work, you are structured, show good judgment, and see your role as supporting others. We want you as a psychologist to contribute a clear salutogenic approach, understanding, and knowledge of how psychological factors, in collaboration with the environment, affect students' opportunities to learn and feel good at school.

You need to be comfortable with digital work as we use digital solutions to better meet the schools' needs. You have good computer skills and are familiar with digital documentation. The role requires proficiency in the Office suite and good command of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Experience with children and schools, as well as advanced knowledge of developmental psychology, RFT, learning psychology, and pedagogy, would be meritorious. Experience with methods such as Applied Behavior Analysis, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, ACT, and CPS is also meritorious, as is experience in driving projects, quality development, and giving lectures. You should be able to conduct a school psychology assessment independently, although you will naturally receive support in your evaluations.

Most importantly, you want to make a difference for the students in our schools!
