About the position

At Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital, we are responsible for the care of children and young people up to 18 years old in the entire Stockholm County. Our patients at the Pediatric Rheumatology Day Care usually have a rheumatic joint disease, but other, more rare, rheumatic diseases such as SLE and Familial Mediterranean Fever also occur.

We provide outpatient care, day care, and clinics, and we have a close collaboration with inpatient care. We have a close collaboration between the day care for neurology, rheumatology, and orthopedics. We work with patient-centered care and many children are followed for several years, which makes you an important contact between the healthy and the child's illness. You will participate in both day care and clinics and have your own nurse clinics as well as telephone hours.

As a nurse with us, you are responsible, together with your colleagues, for the child's nursing within the day care. You work both independently and closely together with other professional categories to give the patients the best care. You will help lead and distribute the work with the starting point of always putting the patient first.

The work is varied and includes, for example:

• administering medication infusions to children pre- and post-operative care
• providing advice via telephone and at your own nurse clinics
• managing clinics together with doctors
• administrative clinic work such as administering waiting lists for various special treatments.

The position is a fixed-term appointment of 1.5 years and the working hours are during daytime, Monday-Friday with placement in Solna.

You may work one weekend per month in inpatient care depending on what the operations decide.

• have a good understanding of how humans absorb knowledge and people's different prerequisites and adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient
• often come up with ideas and new approaches in work-related issues, you have a forward-thinking mindset that can be put into practice and leads to results.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse

Merits:

• Specialist education in children and youth
• Experience in pediatric care
• Experience in clinic work.
