Ersta Diakoni Elderly Care is the elderly care division of Ersta Diakoni, operating a total of nine nursing homes in Stockholm and Uppsala. Sarahemmet opened in 2018 and is today a well-established operation with satisfied residents and staff. Sarahemmet is located in Nacka/Älta and features 54 tastefully furnished apartments spread over two floors, designed for individuals with dementia and care needs. We have a large, sunny, and lush garden, situated right next to nature and recreational areas. We are dedicated to creating a beautiful environment where genuine homeliness meets modern technology.

About the Role

As a nurse with us, you have overall responsibility for care and medical quality. In addition to your duties as a nurse, this position includes specific responsibility for Health and Medical Care (HSL), contributing to the development and quality assurance of the facility's healthcare services.

You work in the journal system Epsilon Welfare and collaborate closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals. Together, you work from a function-preserving approach, focusing on strengthening each individual's abilities, participation, and quality of life. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Planning, implementing, and following up on care interventions based on individual needs.
• Ensuring medical quality and guaranteeing safe and high-quality care.
• Mentoring and leading care staff in their daily work.
• Serving as the lead nurse for two wards.
• Collaborating with physicians and other professionals regarding resident care.
• Maintaining contact with and supporting relatives.
• Contributing to the development of working methods and quality within the operation.

You work both independently and in close collaboration with other professionals. You are part of the local management group, the facility's improvement council, and participate in team meetings on the wards.

You work daytime hours Monday–Friday, as well as every third weekend. One day per week is dedicated to your HSL responsibilities.

Your Experience

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed nurse.
• Has good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Has good computer skills.

We would prefer that you have experience working in elderly care and with individuals with cognitive impairments.
