We are looking for a driven and structured Information Leader for the 1st Division Staff in Skövde. The role entails overall functional responsibility for the staff's information flows, digital environments, and command systems, where qualified staff work is part of your daily routine.
About the position:
As an Information Leader, you plan, lead, and coordinate processes for the staff's information management. You are part of the staff and actively participate in command and planning work. You support the Chief of Staff and the unit leadership in preparing decision support materials, operational plans, and standing orders, ensuring that staff members have the right information at the right time in the right system.
Main responsibilities:
- Information Leadership: Plan, lead, and provide administrative guidance on how the unit's command support systems should be utilized and structured.
- Staff Work: Participate in and lead internal preparations, draft order sets, and support defense planning during exercises and deployment.
- System Responsibility: Ensure functionality, structure, and metadata in the staff's collaboration areas and information systems.
- Security and Training: Train staff members in information management and ensure compliance with current laws, security protection, and signals security requirements.
We are looking for someone who has:
Requirements
- A degree as a professional officer (OF1-OF3/SO6-SO8) or an academic degree (e.g., systems science, informatics, communication) combined with a solid military staff background.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' staff methodology and command support systems.
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.
- Category B driver's license (manual transmission).
Meritorious
- Experience in staff work at battalion, regimental, or higher staff levels.
- Approved training in information leadership (InfoL) or signals security.
- Experience in cooperation within the framework of international missions or NATO integration.
Personal qualities

The position requires a high level of security awareness, strong analytical skills, and flexibility as the workload is driven by the operational situation. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
