At Firefly, we develop and deliver world-leading fire protection and fire prevention systems for process industries around the globe.

We are now looking for a Documentation Manager / Mechanical Designer for a broad and varied role where you combine technical documentation with visualization and design. Here you will work closely with both products and people, with the opportunity to help develop how we convey technical information, both internally and externally.

About the role

The role consists of one main area of responsibility and two smaller sub-areas, where you will work both operationally and practically.

Main Area of Responsibility - Technical Documentation & Translations

You have the overall responsibility for ensuring our technical information maintains high quality and is adapted to our stakeholders. Your tasks include, among other things:

• Create and revise product manuals, certification materials, and technical documentation.
• Ensure that manuals and technical documentation are up-to-date for production, service, sales, and customers.
• Act as the contact person for external translation agencies.
• Ensure correct and clear information sharing within the organization.
• Lead documentation projects – from minor updates to major product launches.
• Work on several parallel projects with varying deadlines.

Sub-area 1: CAD and Visualization

You help create CAD models to support documentation, often in the form of technical illustrations, assembly drawings, and exploded views.

Sub-area 2: Mechanical Design

You support and work closely with our mechanical engineers near the products and participate in the development work to produce drawings and models. You also have the opportunity to build prototypes and perform tests.

To succeed in the role, we would like you to:

• Have a technical education, preferably at a post-secondary level, such as an engineering degree or training in mechanical design.
• Have a good technical understanding.
• Have experience with CAD and technical illustrations.
• Be confident in communicating in Swedish and English in writing.
• Enjoy working in a structured manner.

Experience with technical documentation in an industrial environment is considered an asset.
