The Navy Staff's Material Office is now seeking a driven Contract Administrator who wishes to participate in the further development of the Navy's contract management, primarily focused on commercial contracts under LOU (Public Procurement Act) and LUFS (Swedish Armed Forces Regulations) for acquisition, maintenance, and material support.
About the Navy Material Office
The Navy Material Office actively works to ensure opportunities for the acquisition, maintenance, and modification of the Navy's vessels. The Material Office supports responsible managers in creating the conditions necessary for material to be available and system-worthy to the decided level.
Main Responsibilities
As a Contract Administrator, you will work in accordance with LOU and LUFS, as well as security-protected procurement in accordance with the Security Protection Act. The position primarily involves working with commercial contracts related to the Swedish Armed Forces' (FM) external/civilian material and maintenance suppliers. The work includes both the signing of new supplier contracts and the monitoring, follow-up, and potential extension of existing supplier contracts. You will support the operations with methodological support and handle cases independently within your area of responsibility.
Included in the Role
- Assist the Material Production Manager with contract monitoring, maintaining existing contracts, and drafting new framework agreements
- Act as an expert within the Material Office regarding contracts and provide training within your own organization
- The duties involve independent analysis prior to the drafting and revision of commercial contracts
- Participate in the preparation of commercial contracts, conduct kick-off meetings with suppliers, and follow up and verify that contracts are adhered to
- Lead and participate in dialogue with FMLOG Procurement Unit, Defence Staff Commerce, MUST (Military Intelligence and Security Service), and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV)

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- University education in contract law or work experience assessed by the employer as equivalent
- Upper secondary education with passing grades
- Documented experience in contract drafting
- Experience with contract work within LOU and LUFS
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of parts of the Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Category B driver's license

Since the work is surrounded by significant administration, you must be able to handle it, sometimes under high pressure. You have the ability to express your opinions in speech and writing, are clear, and communicative. Flexibility and adaptability are desirable qualities. Great emphasis is placed on personal attributes, suitability, and achieved results in previous areas of operation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in commercial law
- Knowledge of Marine technical systems
- Experience working in FM support systems SAP/PRIO

Development at the Workplace
You will receive basic training in both contract management and security service, as well as targeted training in procurement, and will also be offered good opportunities to deepen your knowledge in specific areas of work.
Other Information
Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period.
Location: Karlskrona.
The position involves frequent travel to Stockholm/Muskö.
Position: Civilian.
